As last semester I designed the main characters, this time I wanted to try something different. Although I don't think there is enough room to innovations with those ones (mostly because Matt and the art team already have a very concrete vision), I took this card, either way, to see how is to be the bad guy. With David Jones Crew as our main inspiration, I started to dig for references for those guys and I don't know exactly why or ended up with William Blake paintings. Which I actually think is a pretty good visual reference for body texture at least. As I already have an idea of what kind of stats any video game character may need, I started to figure out provisional numbers, attacks, and even behaviors. At the end, I finished with 10 slices presentation which may be a little too much for the first sketch but I prefer excess than lacking.

After our team decided we were doing Matt's idea: Call of Duty Zombies game with some crafting options I wasn't really excited to be honest. I have only played this game mode a couple of times because social pressure, mi friend used to invited me but I could only endure a few matches. It isn't my type pf game, that's all. That why I want to work closely with George n the marketing team. I had some experience in other classes and I feel I can help somehow in this area. So my contribution to our first arrangements was the marketing folder, were George and I put all the references we previously found useful for other classes.
For our first class as is a tradition now, whoever with a good idea for the project could pitch it to the class. So as I now feel way more confident with my speaking skills I decided to recover a old idea I had 2 semesters ago and try to present it. The core idea was time control, around the entire game should be build it: from main core mechanic to environmental or character design. My original idea was control Greek time god Chronos, who has to travel over several time spaces to change future. It suppose to be a mix between Super Hot (which its main idea I think is completely awesome) and maybe the art style of Braid. I was a little exited about the idea...
