Dungeons and Dragons is not an accessible game. I don't feel very welcome trying to enter into its world. There are just too many stats, rules, weird dices and so on. It is true that I have never played this kind of games. So I don't think I am the right person to judge it. Let's just say Dungeons and Dragons is not for casuals at all. Either way, as we will be working on this game, I have to learn or at least understand the basis. In the first class, I struggle to create my character. I want a female token because I have no doubt we need more women in the industry (at any level). Then, Scott guides me through the whole process and even recommended me with class, race, and weapons I should choose. The only thing I want was a long range attack character (as always). Starting from this, I made other decisions like how much money I wanted to spend, which accessories I would need, etc. Finally, we played a sample match while we start meeting the board, attacks, movement, enemies, other players and how all these work. I must say that I loved how D&D provide an interesting sense of freedom. It was always up to us what to do next.
Hard but interesting I am looking forward to keeping learning about it.
